What is DHI method?

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation); with special needles without shaving the hair from the donor area taking the same needle is defined as the placement of the planting area. Hair follicles from the donor areait is less likely to be harmed due to the fact that it is planted shortly after ingestion. Hair transplantation

DHI method, which makes it easier to do, can be preferred in narrow areas. From the classic FUE method differently, after each hair follicle has been taken, transfer to the place to be planted with equal angle and direction without waiting.  This method, also known as pencil technique with special items, called ‘choi‘ or “ implanter ”.

What is the difference between DHI and classical FUE?

  • In DHI hair transplantation, the same pen is used when collecting and placing the grafts. At one time, both the placement of the roots and the opening of the canal are involved. In the classical FUE method (for example, if 4000 grafts are needed), the grafts are first collected. Then it is waited and the channels are opened. Grafts are placed in the opened canals. The grafts collected during DHI hair transplantation are placed on the implanted pen and transferred without waiting. During the operation, 30-50 implants are used.
  • Transplanting the hair follicles without waiting increases the permanence and survival rate after planting. Using the implanter during transplantation makes the angle and direction more comfortable, which makes it easier to determine the angle of the hair follicles.
  • It is a transplantation technique that allows direct transplanting to the required area without damaging the existing hair.
  • The risk of scar formation is very low due to the use of fine-tipped needles.
  • Regardless of the classical FUE method, it has the advantage of transplanting in narrow areas.
  • Recovery time is faster than classical FUE method.

How is DHI hair transplantation done?

  • With local anesthesia, the hair follicles in the donor area are loosened with a device, and after loosening, they are collected one by one.
  • The grafts obtained are taken into the separation vessel and then made ready for transplanting.
  • Prepared hair roots are applied to the area to be transplanted without waiting with the help of implant.
  • Placing the hair follicles printed with an implant and an angle towards the scalp is completed.
